Students majoring in mining don't want to go down the mine directly to the pain of personnel trainin

Issuing time:2020-03-11 14:57

In recent 20 years, the coal industry in China has made the fastest progress, the most achievements and the best results. Scientific development, technological innovation and equipment upgrading have taken place. However, the discipline of coal is still a decades old system. The decoupling between talent training and practice, and the lack of adaptability of students to the enterprise are prominent. How to train the talents who really meet the market demand has become a consistent problem in front of mining colleges and universities. Recently, in an interview with reporters, Yuan Liang, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering and President of Anhui University of science and technology, pointed to the industry's shortcomings and called for attention to the issue of talents.

As we said, talent is the first resource and the first productivity. Especially in the context of coal transformation, talents play an important supporting and supporting role. However, according to the reporter's investigation, the improvement of the industry's employment demand has not played a significant role. In many traditional mining colleges and universities, the employment rate has declined sharply, and graduates are not using what they have learned. The old colleges and universities with the characteristics of coal have even changed their names and sought transformation. What's the problem?

Some students don't want to work in this major, even if someone goes in, it's difficult to adapt to coal enterprises.

A number of industry insiders confirmed to reporters that the decline in the employment situation of mining colleges is an indisputable fact. &At present, most of the traditional mining colleges and universities have changed their names, such as Fuxin Mining College to Liaoning University of engineering and technology, and China Coal Economics College to Shandong University of business. There are also some colleges and universities that used to specialize in coal, and now the number of those who continue to keep relevant majors is also decreasing. &Said Xing Lei, a professor at the Coal Economics Research Institute of the Central University of Finance and economics.

Behind the renaming, there are actually more challenges. The head of the school, who declined to be named, said that taking the mining major of the school as an example, the employment rate of 2013 graduates could reach about 90% in 2012, with the proportion of employment in this major and related fields accounting for more than half. Since 2014, the employment rate has declined year by year. &In recent years, the proportion of graduates who are engaged in this major and related work is only 5% - 30%, excluding the number of graduates who are promoted to college or postgraduate entrance examination, and the use of non study is very prominent. ”

This is not an example of "one school, one hospital". Yuan Liang also said that compared with related work in this field, electric power, chemical industry, finance and other industries seem to be more favored by graduates. &"According to the data analysis of mining colleges and universities, in the top 30 employment trends, coal enterprises can only be ranked in the middle, and students are more willing to choose units like China Railway, China Construction and bank. ”

Some students do not want to enter the coal enterprise, and others are difficult to adapt. The reporter learned from some coal enterprises that the problems of graduates' mobility, lack of practical ability and poor adaptability have existed for a long time.

&"Most of the students didn't go down the well several times in school, so they were lack of practical ability. No matter in which position, only truly familiar with coal mine production can be better qualified. For this reason, the company generally requires new employees to work in shifts underground, such as comprehensive mining team, ventilation team, mechanical team, etc. for two months. But let's say that in recent years, 70% - 80% of the newly recruited students will come to us in various ways and ask whether they can not go down the well or not. So even if they come in, the turnover rate of new employees is relatively high, especially for the first three to six months, there are not a few people who are not suitable. As far as I know, there are more than 500 college students newly recruited by local coal enterprises, half of whom have gone in only one year. &For example, the person in charge of a large coal mine in Shaanxi Province.

It is not that coal enterprises do not lack people, but that the demand and threshold of employment are changing.

The employment situation is not satisfactory, is coal enterprises really do not need new people? This is not the case.

&"There is a long-term shortage of people, especially the young frontline. &Taking a mining team of 100 people as an example, college students account for only about 3% of the total, but the average age of the staff is 38.7 years old. &"Some enterprises require students to come to the front line for a few years, so it's hard for us to recruit people here. We dare not put forward these additional requirements at all. ”

According to the above-mentioned Shaanxi coal enterprise personage, due to the high degree of modernization and good geological conditions of the mine, the number of mining personnel is indeed reduced compared with some old mining areas. &"But it doesn't mean that there is no shortage of talents, especially highly skilled talents in special types of work. In fact, they are in short supply. We welcome talents like electromechanical and electrical talents. As long as we have excellent technology, we need as many talents as possible, even if we are afraid that no one will be recruited. ”

Enterprises have both needs, why are students hard to send out? The reporter understands that this is the result of multiple factors.

Coal industry has a special attribute, which objectively blocks some job seekers. Although the working environment of coal enterprises is constantly improving, many people still retain the traditional impression of dirty, disorderly and poor, hard and dangerous, and the social status of practitioners is difficult to be recognized. Many students, even after a few years of study, did not fully understand the industry when filling in their applications. In addition, many families are reluctant to let their children work in coal mines, let alone stay and do well. &Many people, including cruisers, said.

From the subjective point of view, the development of enterprises puts forward higher and newer requirements for talents. However, due to the relatively backward training mechanism, discipline setting and teaching methods in Colleges and universities, it is difficult for talents training to match the market demand.

New technology, new equipment and new technology are emerging constantly, which has an impact on the quality of personnel
